This 1995 Saab 900 S convertible was originally sold by Carter Saab in Seattle, Washington and was subsequently brought to Georgia, where it was acquired by the seller from a family friend in March 2019. Finished in Ruby Red Mica with a black cloth top over a black leather interior, the car shows just 55k miles and is powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.3-liter inline-four mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. New rear shocks, front lower control arms, and other suspension components were recently installed by the seller, and additional work in the last year has included replacing the water pump, brake pads, rotors, and more. This 900 convertible is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, period Saab memorabilia, service records from the current ownership, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The “new generation” 900 convertible debuted for the 1995 model year, and this example is finished in Ruby Red Mica. Noted imperfections include scuffs on the rear bumper, door dings, and a rock chip on the hood. The black cloth top shows separation around the glass rear window and is reported to be inoperable, although the seller replaced the tonneau cover motor and potentiometers. New headlight bulbs were also installed by the seller.
Stock 15″ alloy wheels wear Goodyear Eagle Sport tires that show date codes from 2013 and 2015 that were installed in April 2019. Service performed under current ownership included replacement of the brake rotors and pads, rear shock absorbers, outer tie-rod ends, front lower control arms and bushings, ball joints, and front sway bar end links.
The leather interior features manually-adjustable and heated front bucket seats as well as a two-place rear bench. Gray carpets cover the floors and are protected by replacement floor mats. Equipment includes a trip computer, an analog clock, and a refurbished cassette radio. The remote five-disc CD changer is said to be jammed and the power antenna does not retract.
A three-spoke airbag steering wheel frames factory instrumentation, including a six-digit odometer reading 55k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added by the seller.
The naturally-aspirated 2.3-liter inline-four was factory-rated at 150 horsepower when new. Service performed under current ownership included replacement of the rear main engine mount, the water pump, distributor, serpentine belt, idle air control valve, spark plugs, wires, filters, and fluids.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller replaced the rear muffler as well as the center exhaust pipe and resonator under his ownership.
