This 1984 Volvo 240 Wagon has been registered in Washington State since new and was acquired in 2021 by the seller, who reports purchasing the car from the son of its original owner. It is finished in beige over brown vinyl and is powered by a 2.3-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 14″ steel wheels, mud flaps, air conditioning, and power windows and locks. The seller notes paint and body repairs, reupholstering of the front seat bottoms, and replacement of the drive belts and a vacuum hose within the past year. This 240 is offered at no reserve with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, 1984 sales documents, service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a Washington State title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in beige with black side moldings, bumpers, window trim, and mud flaps. The seller states that an area of the floor pan was sealed with fiberglass on the driver’s side under current ownership, and paint touch-ups were completed on door edges and other areas including a crease under the left-front turn signal that was repaired in preparation for the sale. The rear window wiper and central locking of the liftgate do not work.

Painted 14″ steel wheels wear bright hubcaps and trim rings, and they are wrapped in 185/70 Toyo Eclipse front and Caldera Confidence C3 rear tires.

The front seats and folding rear bench are trimmed in brown vinyl, and the front seat bottoms were reupholstered and the map pockets were replaced in 2022 according to the seller. Appointments include air conditioning, a rear defroster, power windows and locks, and a glovebox mirror.

A four-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 157k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the seller. The Carfax report shows a mileage inconsistency listed in July 2006.

The 2.3-liter B230F inline-four was factory rated at 114 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque. Wiring for the coolant temperature gauge was repaired and the valve cover gasket, thermostat, air mass meter, drive belts and a vacuum hose were replaced under current ownership according to the seller.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The overdrive does not work. Additional photos of the underside are included in the gallery.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Ravenna Motors in Seattle, Washington, along with factory colors, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $14,423. Service records and 1984 sales documents also accompany the vehicle.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned mileage inconsistency, no accidents or other damage, and lists history in Washington.

The Washington State title carries an Antique brand.
