This 1999 Saab 9-3 Viggen remained registered with one owner in Georgia until the selling dealer’s acquisition in July 2023, and it now has 40k miles. The car is powered by a turbocharged 2.3L inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Lightning Blue over two-tone leather upholstery. Equipment includes 17″ alloy wheels, fog lights, a power sunroof, a rear spoiler, heated power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. This 9-3 Viggen is now offered by the selling dealer in New York with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title.
The car is one of a reported 420 examples finished in Lightning Blue for the model year, and it features revised aerodynamic bumper covers and rocker panel extensions as well as headlight washers and wipers, fog lights, a power sunroof, a rear window wiper, and a rear spoiler. Scuffs are visible on the underside of the front bumper cover.
Factory 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 215/45 Toyo Proxes 4 tires showing 2004 date codes. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors. The tread surfaces of the tires are dry-rotted, and the tires will need to be replaced.
The heated power-adjustable front seats and the rear bench are upholstered in charcoal leather with blue inserts and debossed Viggen logos on the backrests. Amenities include driver-seat position memory, automatic climate control, cruise control, Saab-branded rubber floor mats, and an AM/FM/CD stereo linked with a trunk-mounted CD changer.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for boost pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 40k miles, approximately 30 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The turbocharged 2.3-liter B235R inline-four was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque. Viggen models were equipped with a higher capacity intercooler, a performance-tuned ECU, and a higher flowing exhaust system when compared with the standard 9-3. An oil change was performed in June 2023.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Kelley Saab of Chamblee, Georgia, along with factory colors, equipment, and a total amount of $38,875. Manufacturer’s literature, service records, a car cover, and spare parts will accompany the car.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Georgia through the most recent update in November 2022.
