This 1973 Volvo 1800ES was previously sold on BaT in October 2018 and was acquired by the seller in October 2021. Power is provided by a 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission with electric overdrive, and the car is finished in orange over black upholstery. Equipment includes a glass rear hatch, 15″ steel wheels, and a push-button radio. This 1800ES is offered with service records and a Nevada title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in orange (113) and equipped with a glass rear hatch and quarter vent windows. Replacement chrome trim pieces were installed and the rear hatch seals replaced in 2014. Blemishes in the paint can be seen on the left quarter panel and the roof.
Steel 15″ wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires, and a spare is stowed under the rear cargo area.
The seats were fitted with replacement foam padding and black covers in 2014, and a replacement brown carpet kit, headliner, and window seals were also installed. Rust on the floors was treated at that time. A push-button radio is fitted in the dash, and the clock is inoperable.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 95k miles, approximately 800 of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.0-liter B20 inline-four is equipped with Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 125 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque. The fuel pump was replaced in 2017, and the fuel level sending unit was replaced in September 2022.
