This 1966 Volvo 122S is a two-door model that was acquired by the seller in 2014, and subsequent work included refinishing the exterior in white, recovering the front seats in red vinyl upholstery, installing electronic ignition, repairing the fuel filler neck, and replacing the valve cover gasket, oil pressure switch, dashboard pad, shift boot, and the trunk and taillight seals. The car is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and it is equipped with twin SU carburetors, front disc brakes, 15″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers and overriders, and pop-out rear windows. This 122S is now offered at no reserve with partial service records, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.

The bodywork is said to have been sanded and repainted in white in 2020. Additional exterior details include chrome bumpers and overriders, bright trim, quarter vent windows, pop-out rear quarter windows, and a single exhaust outlet. Dings are present on the grille and rear bumper, the right-rear reflector lens and window seals are cracked, and a scuff is visible on the right quarter panel. The taillight seals were reportedly replaced under current ownership.

Silver-finished 15″ steel wheels wear Volvo-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 165/80 Classic All Season tires showing 2019 date codes. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums.

The recovered front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in red vinyl and are joined by color-coordinated door panels. Appointments include a heater, crank windows, a passenger grab handle, front-passenger three-point seatbelts, and a rubber floor liner. The push-button Bendix radio is inoperative. Per the seller, the black dashboard pad, shift boot, and trunk seal were replaced under current ownership.

The two-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket wrap and frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.

The 1.8-liter B18 inline-four was factory rated at 95 horsepower and 108 lb-ft of torque and features twin SU carburetors as well as PerTronix electronic ignition. The battery tray shows corrosion and the washer fluid reservoir is wrapped in duct tape. A June 2023 service consisted of replacing the valve cover gasket and oil pressure switch and changing the oil.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is visible on various underside components and the suspension limiting straps are broken. A crack in the fuel filler neck was repaired and the exhaust system was replaced in 2021.
