This 1973 Saab Sonett III is finished in orange over brown vinyl and powered by a 1.7-liter V4 paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. It is equipped with pop-up headlights, chrome-accented rubber bumpers, front disc brakes, and 15″ alloy wheels. The car reportedly spent time in Colorado before it was acquired by the seller’s family in 2002, and ownership passed to the seller in September 2023. This Sonett III is now offered at no reserve with Sonett memorabilia, a digital copy of a service manual, issues of magazines featuring the model, service records, and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.

The fiberglass body is finished in orange with black side stripes and Saab script, and the seller notes evidence of prior paintwork. Exterior details include a pair of polished mirrors, chrome-accented rubber bumpers, pop-up headlights, and dual exhaust outlets. Rust is visible on the bottom of both doors, and the seller states that the hood catch is broken.

Silver-finished 15” alloy wheels are mounted with 165/80 Classic All-Season tires. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in brown vinyl with cloth inserts as well as tan door panels and carpets. The radio was removed, the headliner is loose and has visible blemishes, and the HVAC controls and dashboard lights are inoperative. The seller notes evidence of prior body repairs beneath the pedal box, and photos show corrosion near the trunk-mounted battery.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 1.7-liter V4 drives the front wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. An oil change was completed in September 2023. The seller states a transmission fluid flush was completed upon taking ownership and that shifts require additional effort, and the transmission reportedly grinds if shifted quickly.

The seller states that the car has been fitted with aftermarket exhaust components. Corrosion is visible on the underside.
