This 1974 Husqvarna 250 Magnesium has been fitted with a 245cc two-stroke single and six-speed gearbox that was reportedly sourced from a 1975 Husqvarna CR250, and it wears red and white bodywork mounted over a modified silver-powder-coated frame. Additional equipment includes a Pro-Form exhaust system with an FMF muffler as well as a Renthal handlebar, JP Morgen-modified triple clamps, Akront alloy rims, Buchanan’s spokes, and white front and side number plates. This 250 Mag is now offered at no reserve for off-road use only with a clean Off-Highway California title in the seller’s name.
The fuel tank is finished in red with polished side panels and white Husqvarna script, and it is complemented by white plastic fenders and number plates. The frame is said to have been modified by Vintage Husky of San Marcos, California, to change the seating position, and it was powder-coated silver. The seller notes dings in the fuel tank.
Akront aluminum 21″ front and 18″ rear rims are laced with Buchanan’s spokes to drum-brake hubs and wear knobby Metzeler tires. Suspension consists of a conventional fork as well as dual Progressive Suspension shocks mounted to the swingarm. Custom-modified JP Morgen triple clamps were fitted by the seller.
The chrome Renthal handlebar features a foam cross-brace pad and features a side-pull throttle on the right and a kill switch on the left. No instrumentation is present, therefore total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 245cc two-stroke single was reportedly sourced from a 1975 Husqvarna CR250 and features a Bing carburetor, a kick starter, a CDI ignition system, and an expansion-chamber Pro-Form exhaust system with an FMF muffler.
Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission and a drive chain.
