This 1986 Volvo 240 DL sedan was first sold by Village Volvo of Bel Air, Maryland, and is said to have remained with two owners before the seller acquired it in 2024. It now shows 75k miles and is powered by a 2.3-liter B230F inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Repainted red over a beige cloth interior, the car is equipped with 14″ steel wheels, power steering, a body-colored front spoiler, heated front bucket seats, air conditioning, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. This 240 sedan is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.

The car was repainted its current shade of red circa 2017 and features a body-colored front spoiler, bright bodyside moldings, and mudguards as well as black bumpers and mirror housings.

Steel 14″ wheels with aerodynamic covers are mounted with 185/70 Hankook Optimo tires. The car came factory-equipped with power steering as well as a MacPherson strut front suspension and a live rear axle carried by longitudinal control arms and torque rods with coil springs. Stopping is provided by power-assisted front and rear discs.

The heated front bucket seats are trimmed in Beige cloth that extends to the rear bench and door panels. Interior appointments include an AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, all-weather floor mats, and crank-operated windows. The seller notes that the radio emits static.

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the seller.

The 2.3-liter B230F inline-four was factory rated at 114 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque of torque. A sticker affixed in the engine bay states that the timing belt was replaced in November 2022 at approximately 74,500 miles. Subsequent work is said to have involved replacing the spark plugs along with the primary and secondary fuel pumps. An oil change was most recently carried out in 2023.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage.
