This 1967 Volvo 122S sedan was acquired in 2014 by the seller, who reports purchasing it from the daughter of its original owner, and it is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Light Blue over black leatherette upholstery, the car has been parked in storage for roughly five or six years, and work to return it to service in preparation for the sale involved repairing the shift linkage and replacing the battery along with components for the fuel, ignition, and cooling systems. The vehicle is now running and driving, although it needs some lighting and electrical repairs in order to be road-legal. This 122S is offered with service records from the past year and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
Exterior details include dual mirrors, front vent windows, push-button door handles, bright bumpers with guards, and a replacement grille. The window felts and rubber side moldings are weathered. The indicator lights and brake lights are not working. Areas of corrosion are noted on lower body surfaces and around paint flaws. The seller adds that the left-front fender and door appear to have been replaced under previous ownership.
The 15″ slotted steel wheels wear hubcaps and are mounted with Signet Radial YP-821 tires. Braking is handled by front discs paired with rear drums. A matching wheel mounted with a full-size tire is included in the sale.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black leatherette. The headliner is pinned with binder clips above the rear seats. The heater controls, windshield wipers, and radio are not working.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 28k miles, however it is not accurate according to the seller, who reports driving ~500 miles under current ownership, and total mileage is unknown. The fuel gauge is also not accurate.
Equipped at the factory with dual SU carburetors, the 1.8-liter B18D inline-four was rated at 100 horsepower and 108 lb-ft of torque when new. In December 2024, the gas tank and float were cleaned, and the fuel pump, fuel filter, thermostat, radiator hoses, spark plugs, ignition wires and points, distributor cap and rotor, coolant, and battery were replaced. The engine has a rough idle, which is shown in videos shared in the gallery below.
Power is supplied to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The shift linkage was repaired with a fabricated part in January 2025.
The chassis number 214030 is shown on the plate above. The VIN on the title is 12246214030.
The California title is a Duplicate.
