This 1962 Volvo L3314 Laplander is described as a rust-free Arizona sourced truck that the seller picked up about six months ago. They claim to have spent a few thousand dollars going through its various systems, and apart from an intermittent fuel gauge, everything else now sounds to be in good working order. Find it here on eBay in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with no reserve beyond an unmet $7,500 starting bid.
The truck looks cool sitting squarely over mil-spec steelies wrapped in big, blocky rubber, and forest camo with mismatched (but apparently otherwise good) canvas top sections suit it well. These trucks are seriously capable off-road, and extremely short overhangs either end make for very steep departure angles. Says the seller: “I hate to sell it as its perfect for taking the kids to baseball and running errands, but I lost my storage and its too nice to keep outside.”
No engine bay photos are included, but what’s essentially a standard Volvo production car B18 four-cylinder should reside under the doghouse seen here between the front seats. Recent jobs performed by a Volvo shop included unspecified brake and fuel line work as well as a carb adjustment, and excluding an intermittent fuel gauge, everything else sounds to be working properly.
