This 1973 Volvo P1800ES was acquired by the seller 4 1/2 years ago and received approximately $10k in cosmetic and mechanical refurbishing under the previous owner in New York. It has been refinished in its original shade of Orange and customized with color-matched bumpers and trim. The interior has been partially reupholstered and fit with a modern stereo and Momo wheel. Power comes from a fuel-injected B18 inline-four mated to a 4-speed overdrive manual gearbox. Further modifications include a set of Virgo wheels and IPD swaybars. It is now being offered with records dating back to the previous owner and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The 1800ES saw a two-year production from 1972-1974. The Orange (113) was refinished by the previous owner, who also performed some mild alterations to the body. This included painting the bumpers, headlight, side vents, indicators, and taillight surrounds to match the body. The window and side trim have also been blacked-out. In place of the original steel wheels are a set of Virgo alloys sourced from a 240 Turbo and wrapped in Pirelli and Bridgestone rubber. In place of the original 3-spoke wheel is a modern Momo unit. The dash pad has been repaired with a stitched cover above the cluster and the dash fascia shows to be original. An aftermarket stereo has been adapted to fit and 61k miles are shown on the odometer. The 4-speed gearbox is shifted on the floor with the overdrive controlled on the column. The interior, including the seats, door panels, and rear compartment were refurbished by the previous owner. The odometer shows 61k miles. Service work performed under the hood in recent years includes the fitment of a replacement exhaust, a new fuel pump, and work to the air-conditioning. The fuel-injected B20F overhead-valve inline-four has been fitted with an aftermarket finned valve cover. The 4-speed manual gearbox and overdrive were recently re-sealed. A pair of IPD sway bars have been installed, along with KYB shocks, and stainless brake lines. Some surface rust is reported to be present and additional photos of the undercarriage are viewable in the gallery below. Included with the sale are records outlining the refurbishment performed by the previous owner and receipts from recent service.
