This 1967 Volvo 123GT is Canadian-built example produced in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The 1,778cc B18 inline-four is paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive and accompanied by a limited-slip differential. It was acquired by the seller last month with the intention of fitting a new interior, performing some minor repairs and body work, and a repaint in the original rare light green color, the car could benefit from some work to the floors as detailed below. Driven 750 miles on the return trip home following the purchase, the car is said to have performed well and is sold with a clean Manitoba title in the seller’s name. Factory finished in Light Green (91), the car was painted in black primer by the previous owner as a stop-gap measure to prevent surface rust. The hood, fenders, and doors were reportedly sourced from a donor car, while the rockers and rear wheel arches have been replaced. A survey with a magnet indicates minor filler on the body in a few locations. All glass is present and in good condition, with the exception of the front windshield which has dis-bonded and should be replaced according to the seller. Delivered from the factory with Recaro reclining seats, a dash-mounted tachometer, and finished in Green leatherette (426.553), the interior received a color change by a previous owner in the current black color. While several components remain serviceable, the cabin could benefit from new upholstery, carpet, new dash pad and headliner. Aside from the inoperable Smiths tachometer, all interior instrumentation, controls, and electric accessories are functional according to the seller. The five-digit odometer reads 60,756 miles and has likely rolled over according to the seller. The 1,778cc B18 inline-four is fitted with a pair of SU carburetors, while the 4-speed manual gearbox is equipped with a Laycock de Normanville overdrive unit and accompanied by a limited-slip differential. Tires, brakes and suspension could benefit from a refresh according to the seller. Driven 750 miles on the return trip home following the purchase, the car is said to have performed without fault, with minimal oil consumption and the overdrive operating as designed. The video above shows the car at idle. A subsequent compression check indicates pressures ranging from 153 to 161 psi across the cylinders. The original chassis and Canadian production tags remain fitted. The chassis tag confirms the original configuration, and decodes as follows: • 1 – Sedan • 3 – Two-door • 3 – B18 engine • 9 – Assembled abroad • 5 – M41 gearbox with overdrive • 1 – Left hand drive • M – 1967 • 5145 – Limited slip differential • 5324 – Canadian market 123GT • 91 – Light Green paint • 426.553 – Green leatherette Several highlight the condition of the underside metal, with corrosion shown on the front floor panels, a driver-side rear floor panel, front cross-members, and repairs evident on the spare wheel container according to the seller.
