Sharp in Blue on Blue: 1966 Volvo Amazon

This 1966 Volvo Amazon wears a very attractive medium blue over medium blue color combo that looks like it could be factory. Condition looks very good as well, and the seller claims just three long-term owners since new. The seller claims only 29,500 kilometers, which along with other visual clues suggest that the Euro-market car has probably led an easy life. Find it here on mobile.de in Kiel, Germany for 12,500 euros (~$14,500 USD today). This attractive color looks like factory-offered Pastel Blue, and finish appears to have held up very well. Photo lighting is pretty good, and it’s tough to pick out any obvious flaws. Brightwork also shines very well, and we like the set of small auxiliary lamps mounted just inside the bumper overriders. A couple of the mudflaps seem to be missing, but everything else is intact and looking good. The interior is finished in a matching shade of blue, but the soft color is anything but overpowering. Seats show slight signs of use, but door panels and carpets are clean and free of readily apparent damage. The dashpad also looks good, and all switchgear is intact along with a correct-looking radio. The back seat appears essentially as new. Volvo’s B18 redblock makes its home under the hood, and was good for nearly 70 HP in stock configuration. The motor and its accessories maintain a factory appearance, and though the bay shows its years and mileage, a thorough detailing could probably get it looking even better. We’d fix the mudflap situation and just enjoy it for what it seems to be–a well preserved and honest car with great colors and lots of factory-correct charm.
