This 1967 Volvo 1800S was sold new at Bel-Kirk Motors in Kirkland, Washington and is reported to have remained around the Northwest for much its life. Finished in Ice Blue over a black interior, the car was acquired by the seller from its third owner earlier this year. Power comes from a B18 inline-four mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, and the most recent service included a valve adjustment, tune-up, and oil change. The car is now being offered with service records dating back to 1971, two sets of factory keys, the original glove compartment books, and a clear Washington title. The exterior was refinished in its original Ice Blue (95-1) in the late 1970s and reportedly shows some checking and evidence of bodywork in areas. The rocker panels and the left rear wheel well show to have been patched, likely the result of rust. A few small dings are visible along with a dent on the lower driver-side rocker. A new set of chrome side spears from VP Autoparts have been recently been installed. Locks for the doors, trunk, and gas filler are reported to work as intended, and a small chip is present in the windshield, just above where the driverside wiper blade rests. The chrome steel wheels wear factory covers and Yokohama tires with approximately 6k miles of use. The black front seats were reupholstered in 2007, and the overdrive switch has been relocated to a button on the dash. At present, the speedometer needle fluctuates and both the clock and radio are inoperable. 26k miles are currently shown on the 5-digit odometer, which has rolled over. The B18 inline-four comes equipped with a set of rebuilt SU carburetors and an aftermarket 4-1 header, along with a 2” exhaust and freer-flowing muffler. Shortly after taking ownership, the seller adjusted the valves, reset the ignition timing, changed the engine oil, and installed a new set of plugs and a fuel pump. A recent compression test revealed between 176-183psi in all cylinders as shown in the gallery. Underside photos have been provided in the gallery below. 47 years of service records are included in the sale along with two factory keys, the original glove compartment books, and a handwritten maintenance log from the first owner. A comprehensive walk-around and driving video is included below.
