This 2004 Volvo V70R is finished in Titanium Grey Pearl over Gobi leather and equipped with a turbocharged 2.5L inline-five paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Standard features include Haldex all-wheel drive, 17″ Pegasus wheels, and heated front seats, while modifications consist of a short-throw shift kit, IPD Stage 2 software tune and boost controller solenoid, cold air intake, EuroSport 3″ cat-back exhaust system, IPD lowering springs and sway bars, and more. The car was acquired by the seller for the second time a year ago, reportedly after time with two other friends. This P2 V70 R shows 128k miles and is sold with a Carfax, service records, and a clear North Carolina title in the seller’s name. The wagon is finished in Titanium Grey Pearl and features a revised front valance and side skirts, an R-design rear spoiler, and a Polestar badge added to the rear. Chips are noted on the hood and front bumper, and an area of clear coat damage from over-polishing on the hood is pictured below. The car has just been polished and detailed according to the seller. In August 2007 a tree branch fell on the car and broke the sunroof glass. The sunroof was replaced, the roof was repainted, and the black body molding was painted to match the body color as was standard on later R models. Factory 17″ Pegasus wheels are equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 235/45. Braking is from Volvo R-branded grey 4-piston calipers at all four corners, with recently replaced rotors and pads out back. The brake system uses DOT-4 High Temp Racing fluid for track days, with drilled/slotted rotors in the rear plus Hawk HPS Pads. The front brakes are thought to be the stock items. Suspension modifications sourced from IPD include 1.5″ lowering springs all around plus front and rear sway bars, heavy-duty end links, and polyurethane bushings. The car has been used on a track on several occasions. The interior is upholstered in Gobi leather and features a sunroof, heated front seats, rubber floor and trunk mats, plus a cargo net and cover. Modifications include drilled aluminum pedals as well as a short-throw kit for the stock “spaceball” shifter. R-spec Volvos feature analog gauges with blue faces as seen above. This example shows 128k miles on its digital odometer, with about 10k added over the past year. The seller notes the absence of illuminated maintenance lights. The turbocharged 2.5L inline-five produced 295 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque in stock form and is mated to a Haldex all-wheel drive system. This example has been modified with a cold air intake, IPD boost controller, Stage 2 tune, and EuroSport 3” cat-back exhaust system. Polyurethane mounts were sourced for the engine and 6-speed manual transmission. The seller reports that the underside was treated with Waxol corrosion inhibitor many years ago. A service last month included a tie rod replacement, alignment, and new front axle seal. Receipts reportedly date from new and show a timing belt change at 100k miles. The sale also includes custom seat covers, spare parts, and a car cover. The Carfax report lists registrations in Colorado, New York, and North Carolina with six owners, though the seller notes there have actually been four. A damage entry is shown in 2006, which the seller notes as the aforementioned sunroof damage caused by a falling tree branch. A receipt for the sunroof repair is provided in the gallery.
