This 1972 Volvo 1800E was reportedly sold new in Seattle, Washington and has remained with its original owner until acquired by the seller in 2017. The car has been refinished in Cypress Green over tan and powered by a fuel-injected 2.0L B20 inline-four mated to a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Recent service included a tune-up and fluid change as well a installation of a new clutch kit, radiator, shocks, front brakes, and more. This 1800E is offered with partial records and a clean Washington State title in the seller’s name. The seller states the car received a color change under previous ownership, and has since been repainted in its factory Cypress Green. Rusted rocker panels were cut out and new sheet metal was welded in prior to the repaint. Noted flaws include scratches behind the right front tire and a rock chip in the windshield, and the seller says a container of touch-up paint will also be included. Factory steel wheels have been powder coated and are mounted with a set of newer mismatched tires. The seller has installed new shocks front and rear along with fresh front brake calipers, rotors, and pads. The interior is trimmed in tan upholstery, brown carpeting, and simulated woodgrain on the dashboard. Modifications include aftermarket carpeted floor mats and a leather wrap on the steering wheel. Both front seats show wear and cracks are visible in the hard plastic surfaces around the cabin. A period AM/FM radio remains in place. The odometer indicates just over 49,600 miles. Reported by the seller to be in good running condition, the 2.0L inline-four utilizes a Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection system and was factory rated at 130 horsepower. A new clutch and throwout bearing have been installed, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Other recent maintenance included a tune-up and fluid change as well as fitment of a new radiator, battery, and valve cover gasket.
