This 1964 Volvo 1800S was acquired by the seller in October 2022 following a refurbishment that involved refinishing the body in black and reupholstering the interior in red. The car is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is equipped with 15″ steel wheels, dual SU carburetors, power-assisted front disc brakes, Bilstein dampers, bright split bumpers, Smiths instrumentation, three-point front seat belts, and a push-button Bendix radio. Service under current ownership included replacing the front sway bar, exhaust outlets, windshield, and exterior trim pieces. This 1800S is now offered with spare parts, partial service records, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Cherry Red (46) and was repainted black under previous ownership, at which time the front frame rails and a section of flooring near the pedals were reportedly replaced. Exterior details include a left-side mirror, V-branded rear mud flaps, polished twin exhaust outlets, and bright split bumpers and trim. Service in November 2022 included replacing the windshield, cowl air intake grille, wiper arms, rubber seals, and trim pieces.

The black-finished 15″ steel wheels wear bright covers and 165-series LeMans radial tires. A covered spare and an incomplete tool kit are stored in the trunk. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, the booster for which is said to have been replaced. The car is equipped with Bilstein dampers, and the front sway bar was replaced in November 2022.

The cabin was re-trimmed in red during the refurbishment and features a folding rear bench, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, all-weather floor mats, three-point front seat belts, and a push-button Bendix radio. The trunk boards and mat were replaced under current ownership.

The two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles, of which approximately 100 were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 1.8-liter inline-four features dual SU carburetors, a bright valve cover, and open-element air cleaners. An alternator was installed in place of the factory generator, and the seller notes the engine oil cooler and associated pipe were removed. Photos of compression test readings are shown in the gallery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with a switch-activated overdrive unit. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.

A spare finned valve cover and gasket are included in the sale along with hose clamps, and an oil cooler and hose.
