This 1978 Volvo 245 DL wagon was delivered new to Jim Fisher Volvo of Portland, Oregon, and it now shows 9k miles. The car remained registered with the original owner until it was acquired by the selling dealer from their estate in 2023, and subsequent work is said to have included draining and cleaning the fuel system, and replacing the fuel filter, spark plugs, and assorted brake components. Finished in Cascade White over red vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.1-liter inline-four linked with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a roof rack, mudguards, power steering, 14″ alloy wheels, a cassette stereo, and air conditioning. This 245 wagon is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a 1978 pre-delivery service sheet, a tool kit, four keys, accessories, an uninstalled front seat cover, and a clean Oregon title.

The car is finished in Cascade White (42) and features a roof rack, a rear window wiper, a right quarter panel extractor vent, mudguards, and bright mirror caps and window trim.

The 14″ alloy wheels feature Volvo-logo center caps and are mounted with 185-series Michelin XZX tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering as well as a MacPherson strut front suspension with coil springs and a live rear axle carried by longitudinal control arms and torque rods with coil springs. The brake fluid was flushed, and the brake master cylinder, booster, and hoses were replaced in preparation for the sale, according to the selling dealer.

The seating surfaces are trimmed in red vinyl, and interior appointments include a folding rear bench, a cassette stereo, a center console, all-weather floor mats, and air conditioning. There is a tear in the lower left-front seat upholstery, and a replacement cover is included in the sale.

The four-spoke steering wheel features an aftermarket wrap, and it fronts a 130-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 9k miles.

The 2.1-liter B21F inline-four was factory rated at 104 horsepower. The fuel system was drained and cleaned, and the fuel filter and spark plugs were replaced under current ownership, according to the selling dealer.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The selling dealer states that the car is equipped with an anti-slip differential.

Awards are included in the sale along with pre-delivery paperwork, historic registration documentation, manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, and a tool kit.
