This 1988 Saab 900 Turbo convertible is said to have been delivered new to the current owner when they were a Saab dealership in Connecticut, and it remained as an unsold display vehicle and now shows 78 miles. The car is one of a reported 288 produced as part of the Springtime in Sweden Edition, all of which were finished in black over Buffalo Gray leather and featured aerodynamic wheel arch trim and lower body cladding. Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle, the car is also equipped with a black convertible soft top, 15″ three-spoke wheels, fog lights, front and rear spoilers, a cassette stereo, a graphic equalizer, air conditioning, power windows, and heated front bucket seats. This 900 Turbo convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with manufacturer’s literature, a rigid soft top cover, a clean Carfax report, and Connecticut registration in the name of the owner’s business.

Springtime in Sweden edition examples were finished in Black (170B) with SPG-style wheel arch trim and lower body cladding as well as a power-retractable black soft top. Additional exterior details include fog lights, a three-piece rigid soft top cover, front and rear spoilers, power-adjustable side mirrors, cornering lights, and impact bumpers.

Silver-finished 15″ three-spoke wheels are mounted with factory 185/65 Michelin MXV tires. Equipment included power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, and braking is handled by discs at each corner. Replacement brake hoses were installed and the brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale, per the selling dealer.

The heated front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in Buffalo Gray leather, and interior appointments include a Clarion cassette stereo and graphic equalizer, a center console, air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, a heated rear window, and Saab-branded all-weather floor mats. The stereo is said to have been recently rebuilt.

A plaque on the glove box door is engraved with “Springtime in Sweden 1988.”

A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 130-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock as well as gauges for boost pressure, engine temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 78 miles, nearly all of which were added under current ownership.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter 16-valve DOHC inline-four was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transaxle.

Manufacturer’s literature, a stereo removal tool, a tube of touch-up paint, and anti-theft stickers are included in the sale.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.

The vehicle does not have a title, as it is located in a state that does not issue titles to vehicles of its age. It is being offered on its Connecticut registration.
