This 1973 Volvo 1800ES is said to be an “excellent driver quality car” with new tires, new front suspension components, and a 4-speed OD transmission. The seller says it neither drips nor smokes, adding that the car is “good enough to drive cross-country today.” Find it here on Craigslist in El Cajon, California for $12,950. Special thanks to BaT reader PGN for this submission. Photos aren’t the best, but the car looks to be pretty straight with decent if not perfect panel and trim fit. Someone’s fitted a “prancing moose” logo on the nose where a factory badge should go, but otherwise the car looks stock including OEM wheels and the distinctly kinked exhaust pipe finisher. Tires, the windshield and “trim” are all reportedly new. Inside, seats have been reupholstered with incorrect fabric, but aren’t that bad especially given that the remainder of the cabin looks to be well preserved, at least what can be made out in the two provided photos here. An apparently crack-free dash and complete factory instrumentation are noteworthy, though the big radio-shaped hole needs a blanking plate or a head unit. Note what looks like a factory light green/turquoise color combination. The engine is wearing a non-factory air filter on the end of the intake, but otherwise looks correct. Reads the entire ad: “Excellent driver quality car. New tires, front suspension, brakes, windshield, trim. Good enough to drive cross-country today. Manual 4-speed with overdrive. No drips, no smoke. 107k miles.”
