This 1989 Volvo 240 Wagon 5-speed has been extensively modified by Portland-based Volvo tuner R-Sport International, and was previously featured on BaT in May 2015. Purchased by the seller last year, the car features an RSI-built 2.5 stroker B230F inline-four with a billet crank, H-beam rods, turbo tune pistons, prototype Stage 2.5 8V cylinder head, Stage 3 cam prototype, a Holset/Garrett hybrid turbo and more detailed below. Suspension upgrades include RSI coilovers, adjustable rear spring perch kit and poly bushings. Reported to produce between 325 to 427 HP at the wheels depending on the state of tune, the car has been driven just 500 miles by the seller since during his ownership. It is sold with a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name. The white (189) finish presents nicely in the photographs, though some imperfections befitting the car’s age are noticeable in the detailed imagery. 17″ ESM cross-spoke wheels are shod with Goodyear all season tires, while the suspension has been upgraded with RSI coilovers, adjustable rear spring perch kit and poly bushings, 28mm IPD front sway bar and Noltec camber plates. The interior has been mildly modified with Sparco seats and harnesses, a three-spoke Sparco wheel, a touchscreen wideband O2 sensor monitor and a VDO boost gauge. Mileage is shown at 189k miles which is believed by the seller to be accurate. Seat fabric shows nicely in the photos as do the carpets and door card materials.
