This 1972 Volvo 1800E remained with its previous owner in North Carolina for 28 years before the seller acquired it in 2009. A subsequent 2016 refurbishment involved repainting the body yellow, refreshing the interior, rebuilding the 2.0-liter B20F inline-four, and installing a Weber carburetor. Riding on 15″ VTO wheels, the car is further equipped with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive in addition to four-wheel disc brakes, front bucket seats trimmed in black leatherette, and a custom four-speaker sound system with Bluetooth capability. This 1800E is now offered with spare parts and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

Factory-finished in Sun Yellow, the car was repainted as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. Upon reassembly, the chrome trim, headlights, and front turn signals were replaced. The bumpers have been removed. The antenna is missing, and tape covers the mounting location. Rust ahead of the left-rear wheel is shown in a photo provided in the gallery.

Silver-finished 15″ VTO alloy wheels with polished trim rings are mounted with 225/60 BFGoodrich tires. The car is equipped with an independent front suspension, and stopping power is provided by front and rear disc brakes.

The front bucket seats are trimmed in black leatherette, and the dash cover and carpets were replaced as part of the refurbishment. A custom four-speaker sound system with Bluetooth connectivity was added by the seller, and the cabin is further appointed with a passenger grab bar, a rear parcel shelf, a heated rear window, flow-through ventilation, and an AM/FM radio. The overdrive switch has been relocated and the heater core has been removed.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil and coolant temperature. An analog clock and readouts for fuel level and oil pressure reside in the center of the dashboard. The six-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 5k of which were added by the seller, who notes that the mileage is inaccurate. True mileage is unknown and the oil-pressure gauge is inoperative.

The 2.0-liter B20F inline-four is said to have been rebuilt in 2016. A Weber K8904 carburetor was subsequently installed in place of the factory fuel injection system. The battery and spark plugs were replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Portions of the exhaust system have been replaced.
